TAVARES, Fla.– One of the Southeast’s premier preseason high school basketball exposure showcases took place last weekend. It brought together over 100 top teams and hundreds of elite Division 1 and Division 2 prospects under one roof. Here are six (6) additional players who stood out on Saturday:

7-1 Center Akol Nyok, Columbus HS (FL)- 2027

Nyok is an offensive anchor when solidifying himself as a back-to-the-basket presence, where most of his scoring opportunities come around the rim. He brought his length, finishing put-backs as well as vicious dunks around the rim in the win over Wellington Sports Academy. On the defensive end, he used his length to alter shots around the rim as well as showcasing his footwork when he guarded out on the perimeter. His versatility on both ends of the floor spoke volumes, as he was able to provide a huge spark for his teammates.

6-5 CG Quinton Wilson, Wellington Sports Academy (FL)- 2028

Wilson possessed great size from the guard position, where he was able to contribute both on and off the ball in the match-up against Columbus. He demonstrated good footwork and discipline on the defensive end when it came to challenging shots on the perimeter and at the rim. On the offensive end, he used a quick and elusive release, and he was able to get clean looks from the three-point line. He also added a great touch around the rim, showing an ability to finish with either hand through contact.

5-11 PG Whitfield Bynoe, Oak Ridge HS (FL)- 2027

Bynoe is a quick and elusive point guard who can operate in space as well as showcasing his speed to get to the rim. In the match-up against Mater Lakes Academy, Bynoe played with control, making smart decisions with the basketball in his hands, whether it was getting to the rim or dishing it out to teammates off penetration. On the defensive end, Bynoe competed and put pressure on opposing guards. He stayed active on the ball and brought that same energy throughout the game, which continued to feed off his teammates.

6-3 CG Miguel Orbe, Mater Lakes Academy (FL)- 2027

The recent Tennessee Tech commit made the right pass more often than not, whether that’s a pocket bounce pass or a kick out to the corner off penetration. Standing at 6-foot-3, Orbe brought positional size that most guards his age don’t have, which helped him finish at the rim through contact and see over multiple defenders. In the match-up against Oak Ridge, Orbe led all scorers with 24 points.

6-5 PG Quincy Douby Jr., Riviera Prep (FL)- 2027

The Wake Forest commit played a lot of off-ball basketball, and that shapes how he sees the floor on the offensive end. In the match-up against Fleming Island, Douby finished with a game-high 18 points. He became more comfortable in a rhythm offense where the ball moves and the best shot finds the open man. On the defensive end, he displayed a ton of versatility, as he was asked to guard out on the perimeter as well as utilize his athleticism when guarding in the paint.

5-11 PG Cory McPherson, The First Academy (Orlando) (FL)- 2027

The University of Tampa commit, showcased his motor and ability to score on all three levels in the matchup against Westminster Academy. Despite the loss, McPherson finished with a game-high 30 points. He also utilized his athleticism, where he got to the rim and being unafraid to finish through contact. On the defensive end, he applied relentless ball pressure, creating turnovers and being a pest when pursuing the passing lanes. Overall, his two-way presence will make McPherson one of the top point guards in the Central Florida area to watch this season.
