6-6 SF Jarvis Hayes Jr., Woodward Academy HS (GA)- 2027
The 6-foot-6 senior guard brings offensive versatility that extends far beyond just his catch-and-shoot ability. He also possesses a fluid, unhurried pace that showcases his efficiency, as well as rarely forcing the action and allowing the game to come to him. His decision-making with the ball in his hands is mature for his age, and he continues to show a good understanding of spacing and where to attack the defense, drawing multiple looks. On the defensive end, he uses his length and quickness to disrupt passing lanes and contest shots effectively on the perimeter. Overall, he demonstrates a high basketball IQ, making smart cuts off the ball and understanding how to play within the flow of the offense, not just as a primary scorer.
6-0 PG Vance Wilder, Tucker HS (GA)- 2029
The 6-foot sophomore point guard is highly skilled for his position and continues to raise his stock in the class, where he showcases a ton of creativity when he has the basketball in his hands. His shot-making ability, where he can stop on a dime at all three scoring levels, is vastly impressive, and he doesn’t need a lot of time and space to get off a solid shot. He also has excellent decision-making skills, and he can be a facilitator with his pure passing ability as well as changing speed and direction. On the defensive end, Wilder makes timely reads, staying disciplined when pursuing the passing lanes when winning the 50/50 ball, and utilizing his athleticism when it comes to pursuing the glass as a rebounder. Look for Wilder to have a stellar sophomore season as he is already being recruited by East Texas A&M.
6-4 CG Jevin Finley, East Coweta HS (GA)- 2029
The 6-foot-4 sophomore combo guard continues to impress with his combination skill set of size, length, and athleticism. On the offensive end, he displays a ton of confidence when it comes to attacking downhill and finishing at the rim. He consistently finds ways to be a primary scorer as well as displaying a tremendous amount of court vision when it comes to finding his teammates on the move. On the defensive end, he consistently finds ways to battle on the boards and quickly turn his defense into offense by handling the basketball comfortably in transition-scoring opportunities. Overall, his combination of length, athleticism, and playing with a high motor will speak volumes heading into his sophomore season.
6-7 SF Frashad Tisby, Cross Creek HS (GA)- 2027
Tisby has grown into his position and potentially guards multiple spots on the defensive end where he brings a combination skill set of size, length, and playing with a high motor. On the offensive end, he moves exceptionally well without the ball in his hands, finding soft spots in the defense for catch-and-shoot opportunities or timely cuts to the basket. In transition, he is a dangerous threat, as he is capable of finishing strong at the rim or making the extra pass to his teammates. His decision-making with the ball in his hands is solid, rarely turning it over when operating in the half-court set, and he shows flashes of being a reliable pick-and-roll ball handler, though that’s still a developing aspect of his game.
6-7 SF Lorenzo McCorvey, Next Level Academy (GA)- 2027
The 6-foot-7 senior small forward is one of the more promising wings in the class, and he brings a blend of size, length, and versatility. McCorvey can impact the game in multiple ways, whether he can shoot from the mid-range or utilizing his athleticism to get to the dunker’s spot on the offensive end. Standing at 6-foot-7, McCorvey also displays a smooth handle like a point guard, as well as stellar court vision where he can find teammates on the move. On the defensive end, he can guard positions 1 through 5 with his elite footwork on the perimeter as well as snatching timely rebounds when playing at the rim. McCorvey has the complete skillset where he could make an immediate impact at the next level.
6-7 SF Asa Montgomery, Hillgrove HS (GA)- 2027
The 6-foot-7 senior wing often starts his offensive game with his impeccable timing and versatility, where he can facilitate as well as be a primary ball-handler, and it often concludes with his exceptional shooting. He plays with an efficient tempo, rarely forcing the issue, instead relying on smart cuts and off-ball movement to create space. On the defensive end, Montgomery typically stays active in the passing lanes, uses his length well to contest shots around the rim, and is unafraid when it comes to challenging shots from the perimeter. Additionally, his frame at the small forward position provides immediate positional versatility and allows him to shoot over smaller defenders without much trouble.
6-8 SF AJ Williams, Eagle’s Landing Christian Academy HS (GA)- 2027
Standing at 6-foot-8, Williams operates with a rare blend of fluidity and power for his age and size, establishing a deliberate tempo that rarely feels rushed. He consistently makes smart reads in the half-court, whether it’s initiating offense from the wing, attacking off a secondary action, or creating opportunities for teammates. His length and lateral quickness allow him to guard multiple positions, from agile guards on the perimeter to stretching bigs in the post, and his ability to contest shots without fouling is a definite asset. He understands spacing, both offensively to create driving lanes and defensively to cut off angles and recover at a high rate of speed. Overall, Williams doesn’t always rely on explosive athleticism, but rather on craftiness, strength, and a high basketball IQ to consistently get to his spots and make winning plays.
6-1 PG Jahmar Maurice, Woodstock HS (GA)- 2028
The 6-foot-1 junior point guard is not just your typical point guard, but shows flashes where he can score in bunches both on and off the ball. During his sophomore season, Maurice averaged 24.4 points, 4.4 rebounds, 3.0 assists, and 2.2 steals per game. He is strong, athletic, and very fundamentally sound when he has the basketball in his hands; once he gets into a rhythm, he is hard to slow down. Maurice has cemented himself as one of the top point guards in the state for his class. On the defensive end, he is a pest; he is active when guarding on the ball and stays alert in the passing lanes. Overall, Maurice is in store for a big junior season where he is already receiving interest from several mid-major programs.
6-4 CG Trace Adcock, Rabun County HS (GA)- 2029
The 6-foot-4 sophomore combo guard has a mature game that goes beyond his years, and he can shoot the cover off the ball both off the catch and off the bounce. He is also a capable passer where he can get to his spots off the ball and still get himself a comfortable look to score. As a freshman last season, Adcock averaged 15.4 points per game and shot 52% from the field, 50% from the three-point line, and 86% from the free-throw line. Overall, he is one of the top perimeter shooting threats not just in his class, but arguably among the state regardless of his class. He earned All-Region First Team honors as just a freshman and his stock will only continue to climb as he still has three years of high school remaining.
6-3 CG Tre Keith, Tri-Cities HS (GA)- 2027
The 6-foot-3 senior combo guard is aggressive in getting to the rim, utilizing a quick first step and crafty finishes around bigger defenders. His handle is tight, allowing him to navigate traffic and create space for his pull-up jumper, which he can hit from the mid-range out to the three-point line. He’s also got a high motor on defense, moving his feet well and making havoc for opposing guards. Overall, his ability to create for himself and others, along with his willingness to defend at a high level, makes him a valuable asset on both ends of the floor, dictating pace and flow for his team. Expect Keith to have a strong senior season where he is being recruited by several Power 4 programs.
