6-1 PG King Kendrick, Combine Academy (NC)- 2027- South Florida commit
Kendrick plays with an efficient pace where he can slow the game down in the half-court or explode with his burst of speed when he is open in transition. He does a great job changing speeds in the pick-and-roll and keeps defenders guessing with hesitation moves before attacking downhill and finishing around the rim. On the defensive end, he’s active in passing lanes and knows when to pick his spots, which allows him to gamble, though at 6-foot-1, he’ll need to keep building strength to hold up against bigger guards when coming off screens in pick-and-roll situations. Overall, he is not a high-volume shooter yet, but his mid-range pull-up off the bounce is coming along, and it gives the defense havoc.

6-3 PG Nylan Rush, Leesville Road (NC)- 2027- Wofford commit
Rush has proven himself to be a dynamic guard with the ball in his hands, displaying a strong blend of shiftiness, creativity, athleticism, and scoring power on the court. Rush is an exceptional creator with the ball in his hands, shining with his ability to get by defenders quickly off the bounce, display a great change of pace and direction, shine with his handles and ability to create, score off the bounce, and finish at the rim, and knock down shots with confidence from the perimeter. His creativity, explosiveness, scoring ability, and playmaking instincts should translate well within the Terriers’ system when he gets to the next level, especially as he continues to develop and strengthen his overall game.

6-5 PG Quentel “QJ” Young, Chambers HS (NC)- 2027- Georgia Southern commit
Young is a confident lead guard with good size, pace, and overall feel for the game. Young uses his tight handle, speed, and quickness to break down multiple defenders and get to the basket with ease. He is very effective in transition and can showcase the ability to score at all three levels, including a solid pull-up jumper both off the catch and off the bounce. On the defensive end, he’s quick enough to stay attached to the ball but has to work to avoid getting hunted by bigger wings in switches. What separates him is his confidence and maturity, as he can stay disciplined when guarding bigger players and challenge shots at the rim without fouling. Overall, Young is not the loudest player on the floor, but the offense tends to run through him anyway.

6-4 PG Amazin Dixon, Oak City Prep (NC)- 2027
Dixon operates with the calm composure of a veteran, rarely forcing the action while consistently finding the right play. His court vision is exceptional for his age, tending to make passes through tight windows and anticipating defensive rotations before they happen. He uses his size and frame to see over defenders and create advantages for his teammates on the offensive end. On the defensive end, he competes hard despite not having elite length for his size, but he uses his active hands and smart positioning to disrupt passing lanes out on the wings. He also knows when to push the tempo when appropriate, but also knows when to pull the ball out and set up the offense. Overall, his ceiling is that of a steady four-year contributor who could develop into an all-conference caliber player by the time his junior or senior season rolls around at the next level.

6-4 PG Kaharri Coleman, West Charlotte HS (NC)- 2028– Featured image
Coleman is a high-IQ point guard who runs a team with an incredibly strong blend of pace, poise, and unselfishness. He possesses an extremely calm demeanor and seems largely unaffected by defensive pressure with the ball in his hands. Coleman’s tight, crafty handle and ability to change speeds allow him to effortlessly break down opponents off the bounce. He creates paint touches at a high volume and consistently makes the correct read to open shooters. On the defensive end, he picks opposing guards on defense and anticipates well to force turnovers by getting deflections in the passing lanes and generating steals which often lead to transition-scoring opportunities. Standing at 6-foot-4, Coleman rebounds well for his position and reliably pushes the break in transition. Overall, he is a highly efficient all-around scorer who picks his spots within the flow of the action. Coleman is a terrific downhill threat with the size and strength, and he uses his burst of speed to finish above the rim or through contact.

6-3 PG Jermier Nelson, Carmel Christian (NC)- 2028
Nelson is a true floor general who has flourished in every possible setting since the beginning of his freshman year. He is a smart and dynamic point guard with a lethal sense and the ability to attack the basket seemingly whenever the opportunity presents itself. He creates touches in the paint at will, where he’s able to finish through contact, above the rim, and effectively with either hand. However, he also sports a smooth mid-range game with a nice pull-up jump shot where he can be effective both off the catch and off the bounce. Nelson is a respectable three-point shooter who continues to get more and more consistent from beyond the three-point line. Overall, he has already established himself as a future Division-1 prospect and clear two-way leader where he could be in the making of a strong junior season.

5-10 PG Antoine “AJ” Morman, Southern Durham HS (NC)- 2028
Morman operates with a smooth and controlled pace, demonstrating a strong feel for when to push the ball and when to slow things down to execute in the half-court offense. He doesn’t waste many possessions, as he prefers efficient attacks that either create for himself or his teammates. His decision-making in the pick-and-roll is mature for his age, as he is consistently making the correct read on whether to pull up for a mid-range jump shot or attack the front of the rim. Overall, he needs to add a bit more explosive quickness to his first step, which would also make him an even more dangerous slasher against bigger guards as he gets older and matures.

6-2 PG Kenyon St. Louis, Winston-Salem Christian (NC)- 2028
The 6-foot-2 junior point guard runs the show at a controlled tempo, where he pushes the tempo when the lane is open but never sprints into havoc just to get out in transition. He does a great job when it comes to reading pick-and-roll coverage with patience for a player his age, and his change-of-pace dribble already gives defenders havoc at the high school level. What separates him right now is passing vision, where he sees the second and third options on a possession, not just the first read. He’s not a score-first guard by any means, though he can get into the paint and finish through contact when the game calls for it. On the defensive end, also a disruptive on-ball defender, using quick hands to generate deflections and turnovers rather than just staying attached on opposing guards. Expect high-major programs across multiple conferences to stay engaged as he continues to develop.

6-3 PG Christian Hargett, Heritage HS (NC)- 2029
Hargett is coming off a freshman high school season where he averaged 16.5 points, 3.3 rebounds, 2.6 assists, and 1.6 steals per game while shooting 47% from the field, 40% from behind the three-point line, and 83% from the free-throw line. Hargett possesses a very high IQ for his age and a polished skill set with the handle, vision, and scoring prowess to carry a heavy load as a primary creator. He displays terrific pace and the ability to largely get wherever he wants off the catch and off the bounce. Last season, he also had a big role, where he also played some shooting guard for a Heritage squad that went to the third round of the North Carolina High School Athletic Association (NCHSAA) state playoffs.
