By: Southeast Hoops Report

6-11 Center Jamil Robinson, Eagle’s Landing Christian Academy (GA)- 2027- NC State commit
Robinson, standing at 6-foot-11, is a long-armed prospect with good timing on his closeouts and excellent footwork that lets him step out to the perimeter without getting beat off the dribble where the opposition finishes around the basket. On offense, Robinson finishes above the rim on pick-and-roll drives and can get scoring chances, though his footwork and mobility in the post are still a work in progress in maintaining consistency. Overall, his physicality need to match his frame in order to making the next step as he will likely be a multi-year presence when he gets to the next level.

7-1 Center Preston McVey, Gilmer HS (GA)- 2027- University of North Georgia commit
McVey runs the floor surprisingly well for his size and is not an opponent to take lightly, especially when he catches it on the low block in isolation coverage. He can defend smaller guards when they attempt to attack the front of the rim, as his length and size are often used to his advantage. His frame is also used to his advantage when it comes to snatching timely rebounds and limiting the opposition from getting second-chance scoring opportunities.

6-9 Center Cordell Nelson, Next Level Academy (GA)- 2027
Nelson is an athletic big who runs the floor exceptionally well in transition for his size and is capable of finishing plays above the rim when he gets downhill. On the offensive end, he plays with a strong physical presence, using his body effectively to establish position and create space where he can score on multiple levels. He also has a strong frame that allows him to score through contact around the rim or punish smaller defenders when being guarded in the paint. On the defensive end, he is a polished rebounder who can push the tempo with his smooth handle and willingness to kick ahead to teammates on the break.

6-9 Center Junior Phillips, Woodward Academy (GA)- 2027
The 6-foot-9 senior center possesses an intriguing long-term upside as well as bringing a combination of size, length, and mobility. On the offensive end, he runs the floor well for his size, finishes effectively in the paint, and has the athleticism to play above the rim as a finisher around the rim. Phillips is also comfortable stepping away from the paint and knocking down open jump shots out on the perimeter. On the defensive end, he can guard multiple positions with his length and possesses a great feel as a rebounder and disruptor in the passing lanes.

6-9 Center Peter Julius, Eagle’s Landing Christian Academy (GA)- 2028
Julius brings a dominant presence when patrolling the paint with his size, along with his ability to score at a high level off the catch and off the bounce. He has also expanded his offensive package into the mid-range, knocking down comfortable jump shots off the catch. On the defensive end, his length and physicality make it difficult for the opposition to get any offensive flow throughout the possession, as he can be disruptive in the passing lanes as well as utilize his length to alter shots at the rim.

6-10 Center Corey Harris, Southwest Atlanta Christian (GA)- 2028
Harris plays with an edge that shows up mostly in transition, where he’s quick to run the floor and finish above the rim before the defense can match up. Harris is an efficient finisher around the rim, rebounds out of his area, and can change shots in the paint. On the defensive end, he uses impeccable timing rather than just size to challenge shots at the rim. His rebounding instincts are mature for his age, and his length and high-level athleticism limit second-chance scoring opportunities. Overall, Harris has high potential to become one of the top two-way prospects in the 2028 class in the state.

6-10 Center Kamari Grier, Tri-Cities HS (GA)- 2028
The 6-foot-10 junior center has plenty of long-term upside with a combination of size, length, and above-average athleticism. On the offensive end, Grier plays with a high motor, bringing good activity around the basket and continuing to show increased offensive productivity. He has also added a smooth handle where he can get and run the offense in transition-scoring opportunities. On the defensive end, his length and athleticism allow him to be effective around the rim as well as staying disciplined on closeouts on shooters out on the perimeter. Overall, as his skill set continues to develop, Grier has the tools to keep trending upward in the 2028 class.

6-8 Center Jordi Musafiri, Wilson Academy (GA)- 2028
Musafiri is an athletic big man who finishes around the rim and is athletic enough to score above the rim both off the catch and off the bounce. The rising junior changed ends of the floor with ease and is capable of protecting the rim at the defensive end of the floor, using his length to his advantage.

6-8 PF/C Jordan Walls, St. Andrew’s HS (GA)- 2028
Walls is a 6-foot-8 stretch forward who can occasionally play the five in certain rotations. Walls has a long wingspan that gives him a strong presence around the basket on both ends of the floor. He shows versatility on the offensive end, with the ability to step out and make shots from three-point range while also being effective inside around the paint. His touch around the rim stands out, especially with a soft hook over the middle of the floor that can be difficult to contest because of his length and release point of his jump shot. On the defensive end, Walls uses his size and reach well as a rim protector, where he creates a shot-blocking presence and altering attempts near the basket. Overall, his combination skill set of interior scoring, floor-spacing potential, and defensive length gives him the tools to develop into a productive modern front court player.

6-9 Center Joseph Ogunyemi, Darlington HS (GA)- 2029
Ogunyemi is a strong, tough, productive big man with good footwork in the paint. On the offensive end, he is an effective scorer around the rim and is an exceptional rebounder on both ends of the floor, where his length limits the opposition from getting second-chance scoring opportunities. Overall, his combination of size, athleticism, and skill gives Ogunyemi a potential chance to become one of the top two-way centers in the state for the 2029 class.
