The final Live Period of the year has come and gone, and we will be taking a look at five (5) players who raised their stock across our seven different states that we cover. We will begin with the Sunshine State, as who made an impact this summer from our upcoming senior class.

5-11 PG Gavin Reed, Coral Glades HS (FL), Team Gold Coast 17U OTR- 2027
The 5-foot-11 rising senior point guard did a great job at the Power 24 where he put pressure on opposing defenses with his ability to attack the basket both off the catch and dribble throughout the weekend. He used his quickness to create openings for both him and his teammates to be successful on the offensive end. As the lead guard, he also showed the ability to make plays happen for himself, where he scored on all three levels. On the defensive end, he competed on the perimeter and stayed active against opposing guards, whether it was applying pressure or defending the passing lanes. He used his effort and speed to disrupt offensive flow as well as contribute on the glass, where he would get tips and deflections leading to transition-scoring opportunities. Overall, Reed’s activity both as the primary ballhandler and as a defender has made huge strides in his game, and he will carry a load of momentum heading into his senior season.
6-8 PF Jadus Sorhaindo, Bell Creek Academy HS (FL), XPC Elite NXTPRO 17U- 2027
The 6-foot-8 rising senior power forward mixed in his blend of size, length, and athleticism on both ends of the floor throughout the weekend at the Power 24. Sorhaindo provided a unique part of his game where he was able to operate his handle both on the perimeter and in the paint. While his offensive production continues to improve, he consistently impacted the game in multiple ways that extend the box score, where he was getting deflections, altering shots, and rebounding at a high level on the defensive end. He understood when to play at the point of attack, where he drew fouls, extending plays with his ability to compete on the glass, and making timely reads to his teammates. Sorhaindo’s impact on both ends of the floor make him one of the more intriguing prospects to watch as he heads into his senior season.
6-3 CG Jeremiah Torchon, Potter’s House Christian Academy (FL), HoopGrind 17U- 2027
The 6-foot-3 rising senior combo guard showed the ability where he can contribute in multiple ways on both ends of the floor throughout the Power 24. On the offensive end, Torchon displayed his smooth handle, where he can score in different ways and can make plays happen both off the catch and dribble. He also brought the ability where he can get downhill, finish around the rim, and is unafraid when it comes to absorbing contact. On the defensive end, he made things difficult for opposing guards as he played with a ton of length, speed, and athleticism, whether he was guarding on the ball or staying active in the passing lanes. Overall, he showed his skillset of a promising guard who could make a ton of noise and momentum heading into his senior season.
6-1 PG Gabe Grimsley, Bartow HS (FL), Tre Mann Elite 17U- 2027
The 6-foot-1 rising senior point guard showed the ability to play at different speeds in both the half-court and full-court, pushing the ball in transition while playing under control. His ability to change pace allowed him to generate scoring opportunities, get to his spots efficiently throughout the event, and force defenders to react rather than anticipate. On the defensive end, he remains aggressive as both an on-the-ball and off-the-ball defender, where his speed allows him to apply consistent pressure. He is also very active in the passing lanes where he can turn defense into offense in a hurry.
6-1 PG Kade Manley, Mainland HS (FL), XPC Elite NXTPRO 17U- 2027
The 6-foot-1 rising senior point guard can control the offense, whether it was as the primary ballhandler or in his ability to get to his spots where he scored on all three levels. He created separation with his ability to force the defense into making a split-second decision as he scored off the catch and bounce at a high level. His effective decision-making stood out, as he was able to make plays both on and off the ball on the offensive end. On the defensive end, he created plays with his energy and made it difficult for opposing guards to get comfortable looks to score. Overall, his ability to make an impact and contribute on both ends of the floor continue to stand out.
