The No. 1 ranked power forward in the state of South Carolina is on the move ahead of his upcoming junior season:

Brice Wiersma, A 6-foot-8 power forward is transferring from T.L Hanna High School in Anderson, South Carolina to Christ School in Arden, North Carolina, he confirmed with Southeast Hoops Report on Tuesday. The news was first reported by Prep Hoops South Carolina scout Andrew Baxley.

The rising junior power forward has received offers from D2 Anderson University, Campbell, Coastal Carolina, Furman, Presbyterian, Wofford, UNC-Greensboro, and the University of Texas-El Paso. He has also received interest from Cincinnati, Charleston, Clemson, Kansas State, High Point, Liberty, Nebraska, among others.

Wiersma is often viewed as one of the top players in the state of South Carolina and is the top-ranked power forward, according to Prep Hoops South Carolina.

He’s a natural scorer who can produce from multiple levels—knocking down shots, spacing the floor, and attacking closeouts with control. Wiersma is comfortable handling the ball on the perimeter and creating for himself, showing the kind of polish and confidence rare for his age. His blend of size, skill, and offensive versatility makes him a high-upside prospect to track.”

During his sophomore season, Wiersma averaged 17.6 points, 8.2 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 1.2 steals, and 1.4 blocks per game. He shot 54% from the field, 29% from behind the three-point line, and struggled from the free-throw line at just 46%.

Christ School, located in Arden, NC, is an all-boys college preparatory boarding and day school for grades 8-12. Established in 1900, it combines a rigorous academic curriculum with character-building activities, athletics, and spiritual growth. Known for its strong community and leadership programs, Christ School provides a supportive environment fostering intellectual curiosity, physical wellness, and ethical development. The Greenies athletic teams reflect the school’s competitive spirit and pride​.

The Greenies finished the 2025-2026 season with a 21-13 record, and they did not qualify for the Nike EYBL Scholastic tournament. The Greenies return 6-foot-9 senior power forward Dylan Twitty, 6-foot-6 sophomore shooting guard Job Gresham, 6-foot-10 junior center Hudson Hatch, 6-foot-6 senior wing Koen Booker, 5-foot-11 junior point guard Micah Goodlow, and 6-foot-7 sophomore forward BJ Houston.
