Dylan Jones, A Top-50 recruit in the upcoming senior class announced he has narrowed down his school list to six on Wednesday:
Dylan Jones, a 6-foot-6 senior small forward out of Bartlett High School in Memphis, Tennessee, announced Wednesday that he has narrowed his list of top schools to six. Moving forward, Jones will consider the following schools: Alabama, Memphis, Ole Miss, Providence, Tennessee, and Texas A&M.
He has scheduled official visits with five of his top schools where he will be visiting with Memphis (September 5), Texas A&M (September 12), Ole Miss (September 19), Providence (September 25), and Tennessee (October 2). He is also expected to take an official visit to Alabama but that date has not been set of as of right now.
Jones is rated as the No. 43 overall-ranked prospect, the No. 11 small forward, and the top-ranked prospect in the state of Tennessee for the upcoming senior class, according to 247Sports.
Jones spent the summer playing for Team Thad on the Nike EYBL Circuit, where he averaged 17.0 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 1.8 assists per game while shooting 44.5% from the three-point line. He also won the Most Valuable Player (MVP) award at the Pangos All-American Camp in Las Vegas back in June, where he averaged 17.0 points and 5.0 rebounds per game.
During his junior season at Bartlett High School, Jones averaged 16.1 points, 4.3 rebounds, 1.9 assists, and 1.1 steals per game. He shot 45% from the field, 35% from the three-point line, and 71% from the free-throw line, according to MaxPreps.
Scouting Report on Dylan Jones: His offensive game is built on efficiency and smart decision-making, rarely forcing shots or passes into traffic. possesses a soft touch on his perimeter shot, especially from the corners, and shows comfort catching and shooting with consistent mechanics. His defensive versatility speaks volumes, as his lateral quickness allows him to stay in front of smaller guards on switches, and his wingspan is a problem for opposing forwards trying to shoot over him in the paint or on the perimeter. Jones impacts the flow of the game through his consistent energy and positional awareness, making plays that don’t always show up in the box score but are critical for team success.
