Malachi Jordan, A 6-foot-6 small forward, is transferring from Dream City Christian (Arizona) to Prolific Prep (Florida) for his upcoming senior season. The news was first reported by 247Sports’ Travis Branham.

The Glendale, Arizona native joins a loaded Prolific Prep roster that includes five-star senior point guard Nasir Anderson, five-star senior center Lewis Uvwo, and three-star sophomore small forward Draydne McDaniel.

The 6-foot-6 small forward has received offers from Alabama, Arizona State, Auburn, BYU, Indiana, Kansas, Miami, Missouri, Tennessee, Vanderbilt, among several others. He is also expected to take official visits to Alabama and Tennessee this fall. He also stated that he has received some heavy interest from Arizona, New Mexico, and Villanova.

During the Grassroots season, Jordan has been playing with Oakland Soldiers on the Nike EYBL Circuit, where he is averaging 18.6 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 3.1 assists per game. So far this season, Jordan has taken a huge climb in the national rankings for the upcoming senior class.

Jordan talked with 247Sports’ Travis Branham about how his recruitment has shaped up so far:

ALABAMA: “They also have really good results with guys from Nashville [Brandon Miller], and we’re the same type of player. We are both very versatile.”

UCONN: “My dad talked to them. It’s just like a blue blood, so it left a pretty cool feeling.”

TENNESSEE: “Just like the family aspect. It’s really cool. They care for the kids and the coaching – it’s everything a player needs to get to the next level, and I am trying to go one and done.”

Following last month’s Live Period, Jordan went to Mexico to compete with the USA U18 FIBA U18 AmeriCup team, where he was a part of the silver-medal-winning team.

His recruitment is still wide open, as is typical for a player this young, with many more schools expected to enter the fray as he continues to develop. Programs are evaluating his long-term potential and the foundational tools he already possesses. Given his current trajectory and the level of interest, he is projected to land at a high-major program with a strong developmental track record, likely making a decision late in his high school career.

Scouting Report on Jordan: Jordan plays like a natural wing forward with incredible length and fluidity for his size and age. On the offensive end, he’s most comfortable attacking the rim, utilizing his long strides and quick first step to get downhill and finish above defenders. He shows good instincts cutting off the ball and understands how to exploit openings in the defense, often catching passes and converting with authority. While still developing consistency, his perimeter jumper has solid mechanics, indicating a future as a legitimate threat from beyond the arc, which will significantly open up his driving lanes. Defensively, he leverages his immense wingspan and lateral quickness to disrupt passing lanes, contest shots, and guard multiple positions effectively. He runs the floor hard in transition, consistently beating opponents down the court for easy scores or creating mismatches on the break, a testament to his impressive motor and conditioning. His decision-making with the ball is solid for his age, often making the simple, correct play rather than forcing the issue, though there’s still room for advanced reads as he matures.
