One of the nation’s most coveted prospects is one step closer to announcing his commitment. 6-foot-7 senior small forward Dylan Jones, out of Bartlett High School in Tennessee, will announce his college commitment on Monday, October 26, at 7:00 p.m. Eastern Time on the 247Sports YouTube channel. Jones will choose between Ole Miss, Providence, and Texas A&M. Before trimming his list down to three schools, Jones was being recruited by Alabama, Mississippi State, Oklahoma State, Tennessee, UCF, Arkansas State, Louisiana-Monroe, Middle Tennessee State, New Mexico, New Mexico State, Sam Houston State, UAB, among several others.
Jones is the No. 35 overall-ranked player in the nation, the No. 8 small forward, and the top-ranked player in Tennessee for the upcoming recruiting cycle, according to 247Sports.
Jones has made official visits with each of his remaining finalists, including a recent visit to Texas A&M last month, where he saw the Aggies’ football program defeat Arizona State back on September 12th at Kyle Field. He also visited Ole Miss (September 19) and Providence (September 25).

Jones spent the summer playing for Team Thad on the Nike EYBL Circuit, where he averaged 17.0 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 1.8 assists per game while shooting 44.5% from the three-point line. He also won the Most Valuable Player (MVP) award at the Pangos All-American Camp in Las Vegas back in June, where he averaged 17.0 points and 5.0 rebounds per game.
During his junior season at Bartlett High School, Jones averaged 16.1 points, 4.3 rebounds, 1.9 assists, and 1.1 steals per game. He shot 45% from the field, 35% from the three-point line, and 71% from the free-throw line, according to MaxPreps.
Texas A&M has continued to make Jones a priority throughout the fall. Members of the Aggies’ coaching staff have made multiple trips to Bartlett over the last month, including a visit Monday afternoon. Since the beginning of September, the staff has made at least five additional trips to see the four-star forward, looking to add him to likely wrap up their 2027 recruiting class.
Ole Miss has begun a heavy recruitment pitch to four-star power forward Zion Green, who recently made an official visit to Oxford last month. The Rebels have carried heavy momentum in the pursuit of landing Green.
Providence has also become heavily involved in Jones’ recruitment, with Head Coach Byron (Hodgson) and his staff staying in contact with him. They were also on the Bartlett campus visiting with Jones earlier in the week.
Scouting Report on Dylan Jones
The 6-foot-7 small forward plays with a patience that’s uncommon for a guy his age, as he lets the game come to him, working off movement and reading how the defense is set up before deciding whether to attack or reset. Jones has the frame where he can guard multiple positions on the wing, and he uses his length to bother passing lanes and contest shots at the rim without fouling. In the half-court, he is at his best facing the basket, where he can put the ball on the floor and get downhill or pull up when the defender sags off. He’s still developing his ability to create separation against length, but he has feel for spacing and where to be on the court. On the defensive end, he has long arms, good lateral quickness for his size, and can be a legitimate multi-positional prospect at the next level. Overall, frame and feel give him a real shot at a college career with legitimate NBA G League or overseas value down the line, though it’s early to project a potential professional career.
