The Top-15 ranked junior will take four unofficial visits this upcoming fall as his recruitment starts to heat up.

Dylan Betts, A five-star rising junior center, has just begun to heat up on the recruitment trail and has made a name for himself as one of the top prospects in the 2028 class. The 7-foot-3 center out of IMG Academy will take four unofficial visits this upcoming fall. The first visit is scheduled for September 11, when he will be visiting the reigning national champion Michigan Wolverines. He is currently ranked No. 13 overall in the Class of 2028, the No. 6-ranked center, and the No. 3 overall-ranked player in the state of Florida, according to 247Sports.
Betts is a native of Englewood, Colorado, which is located just outside of Denver, and will suit up for the Ascenders for the upcoming season after playing his freshman season at Cherry Creek High School, where he averaged nearly eight points per game as the Bruins finished the season with a 10-15 record.
Following his unofficial visit with Michigan, Betts is set to take unofficial visits to Illinois (September 18-20), North Carolina (September 25-27), and Alabama (October 9-12).
Betts is the younger brother of Sienna and Lauren Betts, who went on to play their collegiate careers at UCLA. Sienna was named the NCAA Tournament Most Valuable Player for the Bruins, as well as being named to the Big Ten All-Freshman Team by the coaches and media. Lauren went on to play four years for the Bruins, where she was a part of the Bruins’ national championship team in 2026, before being selected by the Washington Mystics with the 4th overall pick in the 2026 WNBA Draft.
Betts’ father (Andy) is listed at 7-foot-1 and went on to play collegiate basketball at Long Island University-Post from 1994 to 1997 before finishing his collegiate career at Long Beach State during the 1997-1998 season. He went onto being drafted by the Charlotte Hornets with the 50th overall pick in the 1998 National Basketball Association (NBA) Draft.
Betts played for the Legynds, which is a part of the Nike EYCL Circuit, which is organized by former NBA player Blake Griffin and current Washington Wizards point guard Trae Young. This summer, Betts averaged 12.3 points, 8.7 rebounds, and 2.9 blocks per game while shooting 51% from the field.
