Cayden Daughtry put on a show for the record books at last week’s Nike EYBL Peach Jam where he averaged nearly 35 points per game.

Cayden Daughtry was in the conversation if he should be considered one of the top-10 overall prospects in the upcoming senior class a few weeks ago. He made that statement pretty clear, putting on one of the most efficient performances I’ve ever seen last week at the Nike EYBL Peach Jam.
Daughtry was named the Most Valuable Player (MVP), where he averaged 34.8 points per game and led the Florida Rebels to the Nike EYBL Peach Jam title in the 17U division. The 6-foot rising senior point guard totaled 258 points, 34 rebounds, 49 assists, 23 steals, and just 16 turnovers across eight games played in the six-day stretch. He also shot 63% from inside the arc, 49% from behind the three-point line, and 91% from the free-throw line.
“He reminds me a lot of Trae Young”, Florida Rebels Coach Steven Reece told reporters. Young helped lead Mokan Elite to the 2016 Nike EYBL Peach Jam 17U title where he averaged 27.0 points, 3.7 rebounds, 7.2 assists, and 3.1 steals per game. Young played in the 20th Anniversary of the prestigious event.
On the 30th Anniversary of the event, Daughtry soared to new heights, where he scored 30+ points in seven of the eight games played last week. Last month, he also helped lead Team USA to the U17 FIBA World Cup Gold Medal in Turkiye, where he averaged 11.7 points, 3.4 rebounds, 4.7 assists, and 1.1 steals per game in seven games played.
Daughtry has done a lot of winning this year, where he also led Calvary Christian Academy in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, to the 2026 Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA) Class 3A state title for the second consecutive year.
Daughtry is the No. 9-overall ranked player and the No. 3-ranked point guard in the Class of 2027, according to 247Sports.
