The No. 19-overall ranked player in the Class of 2028, according to 247Sports, is on the move ahead of his junior season.

Michai White, A 6-foot-2 point guard, will be heading to Prolific Prep for the upcoming 2026-2027 season, the school announced on Tuesday.
The five-star rising junior guard previously played his sophomore season on the Nike EYBL Scholastic League at Brewster Academy in New Hampshire. Before heading to Brewster Academy, White played his freshman season at St. Benedict’s Prep in his home state of New Jersey. The Crew has landed three major prospects over the last week, with additions of three-star senior combo guard Braxton Keathley and five-star junior center Bamba Touray.
During his sophomore season at Brewster Academy, White averaged 13.5 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 2.8 assists per game while shooting 45% from the field and 30% from the three-point line. He also accumulated for 56 steals in 36 games played last season for the Bobcats.
White currently holds nearly 20 Division-1 offers from schools such as Auburn, Indiana, Louisville, Maryland, Oklahoma State, Penn State, among others. He has also been in consistent communication with Northwestern, Providence, and Villanova since May.
White talked about his recruitment process in where it currently stands today following the first Live Period of the season:
AUBURN: “Coach (Bowman) and Coach (Pearl) have been building a consistent relationship with me and my Dad.” Ira, being a Jersey guy like me, has been in constant communication with me and my family since they offered me last summer at the Peach Jam.
LOUISVILLE: “Coach (Kelsey) is really trying to move the needle at getting things done quickly.”
OKLAHOMA STATE: “I love their system as they play fast and play hard on both offense and defense.” I have gotten to know the staff since they offered me last year while I was at Brewster Academy playing under Coach (Smith) who is now at Master’s Academy International in Massachusetts.
VILLANOVA: “They are building a winning platform in the National Basketball Association (NBA) as I watched Josh Hart, Mikel Bridges, and Jalen Brunson win a Championship with the New York Knicks.”
Brewster Academy finished the 2025-2026 season with a 30-6 record and had its season come to an end in the Nike EYBL Scholastic quarterfinals, when they lost to Oak Cliff Faith Family Academy (Texas) back on March 12th.
Prolific Prep is coming off a 38-4 record during the 2025-2026 season, where they made an appearance at Chipotle Nationals for the seventh consecutive season before having their season come to an end in the quarterfinal round against eventual champion Montverde Academy.
Prolific Prep relocated from Napa, California, to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, following the 2024-2025 season after an 11-year run in Northern California, where they produced 25 ranked players, according to numerous recruiting services and 14 McDonald’s All-American nominees during that time frame.
