Bamba Touray, A 7-foot rising junior center, is on the move from IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida, to play the upcoming season at Prolific Prep in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The news was first reported by ESPN’s Director of Recruiting, Paul Biancardi. The program officially announced the move on their social media platforms on Wednesday.
Touray is rated as the No. 3-overall ranked prospect, the No. 1-ranked center, and the top-ranked player in the state of Florida in the Class of 2028, according to 247Sports. He is currently hearing from Florida State, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Kentucky, Indiana, Miami, Saint Louis, and UNLV. He holds offers from Florida State, Georgia, Indiana, Ole Miss, and UNLV.
Touray is a native of Senegal and came to the United States when he was entering his freshman season, where he played for the national powerhouse in IMG Academy under former head coach Sean Macloon during the 2024-2025 and 2025-2026 seasons.
Prolific Prep is coming off a 38-4 record during the 2025-2026 season, where they made an appearance at Chipotle Nationals for the seventh consecutive season before having their season come to an end in the quarterfinal round against eventual champion Montverde Academy.
Prolific Prep relocated from Napa, California, to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, following the 2024-2025 season after an 11-year run in Northern California, where they produced 25 ranked players, according to numerous recruiting services and 14 McDonald’s All-American nominees during that time frame.
Touray doesn’t have any upcoming visits scheduled at this time, but he did take an unofficial visit to Florida State back in December of 2025.
