The Florida Association of Basketball Coaches (FABC) Live Period opening session is complete, and we turn our attention to some players who raised the most stock throughout the event. Here are eight (8) rising juniors we think are turning the corner at a possible start in their recruitment process.

6-5 CG King McMillian, Hilliard HS (FL), Austin Rivers SE Elite 3SSB- 2028

The 6-foot-5 rising junior guard has elite speed and plays with purpose on the offensive end. He excels when it comes to creating separation of the defense with his ability to attack the basket at will and has a smooth jump shot when playing off the bounce. On the defensive end, he brings explosiveness and athleticism, where he plays with a ton of confidence, whether it’s in the passing lanes or above the rim as a high-level rebounder. He picked up offers from Jacksonville University and Florida Gulf Coast University following the Live Period last weekend.

6-2 PG Johnas Maurice II, Oak Ridge HS (FL), Florida Rebels EYBL- 2028

It didn’t take long for the 6-foot-2 rising junior point guard to get acclimated with his new teammates, as he showed his good burst of speed when playing in the open court. On the offensive end, he continues to apply pressure on the defense with his willingness to attack the basket as well as stop on a dime, where he can hurt you with the ability to shoot from the perimeter at a high clip. On the defensive end, he displays his high IQ of being active in the passing lanes, forcing turnovers, and leading transition scoring opportunities for him and his teammates.

6-3 CG William Stewart, Providence HS (FL), Tre Mann Elite PRO16- 2028

The 6-foot-3 rising junior combo guard is coming off a State Championship as a sophomore, where his game continues to blossom. On the offensive end, he has all the physical tools to be a complete player, where he is unafraid when finishing above the rim and can be effective in the perimeter game as well. On the defensive end, he shows good length where he can guard multiple positions, snatch timely rebounds, and alter shots at the front of the rim. Overall, Stewart is an emerging two-way prospect with a ton of upside heading into the second half of the summer as well as into his junior season.

6-2 CG Keylon Williams, Booker T. Washington (Pensacola) (FL), Mighty Titans UA Rise- 2028

The 6-foot-2 rising junior combo guard is small and shifty, and he can attack the defense with his ability to finish at the rim as well as be efficient off the catch on the offensive end. Williams is excellent when it comes to transition scoring opportunities as the lead ball-handler or getting to his spots when playing off the ball. On the defensive end, he is aggressive, playing with physicality, and is unafraid when challenging shots against bigger players. He is fresh off his first offer from the University of West Florida and could be seeing a huge jump in his stock heading into his junior season.

6-0 PG Tajuan “TJ” Mills, Lake Highland Prep (FL), Tony Gaskins Elite2028

The 6-foot rising junior point guard has a skill set of size, length, and athleticism. On the offensive end, he is a capable shot maker off the catch and bounce. He uses his burst of speed and quickness to get to his spots where he is a three-level scorer as well as an efficient playmaker from the lead guard position. On the defensive end, he plays with quickness, whether it’s applying pressure on opposing ball handlers or getting into the passing lanes with his length. His high motor and willingness to compete on every possession continue to stand out as he is on the verge of having a breakout second half of the summer.

6-10 PF Tyler Sabec, Calvary Christian HS (Clearwater) (FL), Tony Gaskins Elite- 2028

The 6-foot-10 rising junior power forward has grown two inches since the end of his sophomore season. On offense, he is efficient where he can score on all three levels, whether it’s off catch-and-shoot opportunities or playing off the bounce in attack mode. During Session 1 at the FABC Live Period in Gainesville, Sabec finished with 29 points and 14 rebounds in a win over Kissimmee Osceola. He followed up with a 21-point and 12-rebound outing in the morning game on Sunday in a win over Viera. Sabec picked up offers from Arkansas State and Jacksonville following last weekend’s performances. Expect a big July for the 6-foot-10 rising junior two-way forward.

6-3 PG Adrian Pozo, Tampa Prep HS (FL), PSB Tampa Bay Robinson 16U OTR- 2028

The 6-foot-3 rising junior point guard has all the tools to be a complete player on both ends of the floor. On offense, he has limitless range when it comes to being effective from behind the arc or attacking the basket, finishing at the front of the rim. He can create offense with his off-ball movement as well as set his teammates up for success when he is the lead guard. On the defensive end, he plays with discipline, where he is unafraid when it comes to challenging shots around the rim without fouling. During his sophomore season, Pozo shot 33% from the field and 31% from behind the arc as he is looking to improve those shooting numbers heading into his junior season.

6-4 CG Greg Dauer, Sarasota HS (FL), Austin Rivers SE Elite 3SSB- 2028

The 6-foot-4 rising junior combo guard has looked to be one of the lead catalysts for the Sailors’ offense since their playoff run came up short of a state championship this past season. Dauer has been asked to be the secondary option running alongside sharpshooter Johnny Lackaff, where they look to be the Modern Era Splash Brothers with their willingness to be a dangerous threat from the perimeter. The rising junior has great positional size where he can play off the ball as a two-guard, where he doesn’t need the basketball in his hands in order to make an impact offensively. On the defensive end, he is an above-average athlete, where he is a high-level rebounder for his size and is unafraid when it comes to pushing the pace in transition-scoring opportunities.
